Tura: Meghalaya police appears to be preparing for a full onslaught against the banned GNLA following the establishment of a special Operation Group Centre at Bolkinggre village of Williamnagar.
Meghalaya DGP Rajiv Mehta inaugurated the special centre during his first visit to Garo Hills on Monday to the volatile region which has been at the centre of militant activities in recent times.
The centre is expected to play a crucial role in curbing armed conflict in the state.
