SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has made it clear that the State Government will not step in to resolve ongoing political crisis in the KHADC.
“We will leave it to the MDCs to resolve the prevailing political situation,” Sangma said when asked if the State Government would intervene to end the ongoing political instability in the Council on Thursday.
When asked what role the Government would play in a situation where the Opposition Alliance (PDF) have got the support of 15 MDCs while the ruling coalition (ARPA) has the support of 13 MDCs, the Chief Minister maintained that it is the job of every individual MDC to find ways and means to resolve the crisis.
“The Government will not to intervene in such situation,” Sangma said.
The Chief Minister, however, asserted that the members of the KHADC are more concerned about development issues rather than bicker about political issues.
