Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has resolved to commemorate the contributions of few more eminent personalities posthumously who served the people in various capacities as speaker and ministers in their public life.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki in a statement on Sunday said that this would be in recognition of the services rendered by the departed leaders who represented their respective communities and region in the Government and contributed in the development of the state and welfare of the people.
The state government had on February 24 announced to immortalize the contributions of late leaders by naming them on important infrastructures, institutions and landmarks.
In addition, as per the decision the upcoming Subansiri Multi-Purpose Outdoor Stadium at Ziro would be named after former Speaker Padi Yubbe, while the District Hospital Koloriang would be named after Chera Talo, former minister. (PTI)
