Unidentified gunmen attack AR post in Nagaland

Kohima: Suspected underground cadres attacked one post of Assam Rifles stationed at Chenmoho village under Dimapur district on Saturday night followed by exchange of fire between both sides.
According to official sources today, some unidentified gunmen reportedly fired around 15 rounds at the post of 5th Battalion of Assam Rifles troops based in Chenmoho.
In retaliation the Assam Rifles troops fired around 40 to 50 rounds, sources added. However, there was no casualty reported in the incident.
According to other sources, the incident happened when the sentry at the gate had asked some people who were reportedly near the gate to stop. Later, when they refused to stop, the firing started, the source added. (UNI)
