Dorbar cautions against Illegal collection for landslide victims

SHILLONG: The Dorbar Shnong, Lama Villa has taken exception to reports that certain individuals were collecting donations illegally under the pretext of financially supporting the family members of those who died in the recent landslide in the locality.
The Dorbar has urged the public not to contribute any money towards such unlawful appeals and inform the nearest police station about anyone trying to collect donations for the landslide victims.
The Dorbar Shnong of Lama Villa had recently met the Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills to request appropriate compensation for the members of the bereaved family.
