Sex worker, two clients arrested in city

SHILLONG: Police have arrested a sex worker along with two ‘clients’ from the city on charges of forcing a teenage girl to join the flesh trade.Police informed that a fifteen-year-old girl had recently gone missing from her residence and when the girl returned home, she claimed that she had gone to stay with one woman at Nongthymmai, Shillong, during which time she was forced to go out with four persons on different occasions as was paid Rs.2,000. The woman was paid Rs.500 by the clients, she claimed.Police further informed that the woman was a friend of the girl and had forced the minor into the sex trade.An FIR has been lodged and the girl has been handed over to the concerned authorities.
