IB official’s body handed over to family

SHILLONG: The body of IB official Bikash Kumar Singh which was recovered from a pit in Bolchugre village in South West Garo Hills was handed over to his relatives in Tura on Monday.
Search teams from South Garo Hills police had recovered the bodies of the IB official and a trader Kamal Saha, from a single grave outside of Bolchugre village in Dambuk Aga area on Saturday.
District police chief Lakador Syiem suspected ASAK involvement in the twin execution.
The decomposed body of Singh was identified from the clothes on the corpse. He was wearing a red t-shirt and jeans at the time of his abduction.
