SHILLONG: Police rescued one Md. Abdul Mojid Sheikh who was abducted from Kadamshali under Tikrikilla police station in West Garo Hills.
The victim was kidnapped by one Md. Fozor Ali on November 27. Later, acting on inputs on Sunday, a joint team of Tikrikilla PS and Lakhipur PS, Assam conducted a raid in the house of the accused at Chilarbitha under Lakhipur PS and rescued the victim.
The accused, meanwhile, managed to escape.
