SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) is left red faced after the leak of question paper of Khasi subject on Wednesday hours before the start of examination.
This is fourth such case in the last many days after the MBoSE has instituted an inquiry to probe the leak of Science & Technology question paper on November 30.
The science and technology question paper was allegedly leaked here, leading to the filing of a police complaint and the institution of an inquiry by the board.
The board immediately rescheduled the science and technology exam from November 30 to December 4.
On Wednesday, some students studying in different schools in and around in Jaiaw were spotted displaying the original question paper of MIL (Khasi) that were clicked and circulated through “Watsapp”, a popular mobile application.
The leak was noticed between 7.30 am to 8 am.
On being informed about the leakage of the Khasi question paper, FKJGP members immediately went to Jaiaw area and even got the paper that was leaked transferred to their mobile.
Expressing shock over the incident, the FKJGP education secretary Kitboklang Nongphlang demanded a proper inquiry into the incident.
On the other hand, FKJGP East Khasi Hills District president Elton Warjri said that they suspect involvement of officials from the MBoSE and the deposit centres in the incident.
When contacted, the MBoSE executive chairman EP Kharbhih said that board did not receive any complaint or   information about the leak of question paper.
He informed the Deputy Director would visit the concerned schools on Thursday.
Reacting to a query, he made it clear that there would not be any   re-scheduling of the examination. FKJGP, however, demanded rescheduling of the Khasi paper examination again as was done in the case of Science & Technology subject.
