Lok adalat
The Member Secretary, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong has informed that the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, will hold the National Lok Adalat for all relevant matters on December 19 in the High Court of Meghalaya, all District Courts, District Council Courts, and Sub-Divisional Courts.
Intl Year of the Soils
Along with the rest of the world, the Department of Agriculture, Meghalaya will observe the International Year of the Soils on December 5 at the Integrated Agriculture Training Centre (IATC), Upper Shillong. One of the main objectives of holding the programme is to educate the public about the crucial role soil plays in food security, climate change adaptation and mitigation, poverty alleviation etc.
Youth Event
Meghalaya State Skills Development Society, has urged people to take part in a “youth event titled to be held at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoi Rymbong at 10 am on December 4. The event will focus on the various components of the State project, ‘Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya’ which seeks to create career opportunities and enhance the employability of the youth in the State.
