One killed, six injured as vehicle falls into gorge

SHILLONG: A person was killed and six others injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a gorge at Wah Bam near Nongnah village in South West Khasi Hills on Saturday. The Mahindra Maxx vehicle (ML-06-4893) driven by one Arbest Nongrang (22) fell into the  gorge at Wah Bam at around 2 pm resulting in the death of an occupant identified as Kwip Pariong on the spot while the driver and five other occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries.
