SHILLONG: A series of programmes will mark the Meghalaya Day celebrations on Wednesday.
The official function will be held at U Soso Tham Auditorium here at 3:00 PM where Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.
Other programmes include a marathon, seasonal flower show-cum-competition on State Central Library premises, mini carnival for children and food festival (local cuisine) at Parking Lot, Polo from 11:00 AM, rock concert and fireworks display at Parking Lot, Polo from 6:00 PM.
In addition, the IT department will be awarding laptops to meritorious students who passed board examinations 2015 at Yojna Bhavan at 12:30 PM. The chief guest on the occasion will be IT Minister, A L Hek.
