Republic Day delight for hearing impaired students

SHILLONG: As many as 13 hearing impaired students from Montfort Center for Education, Tura were invited by the National Institute of Open Schooling’s (NIOS) to witness the 67th Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
The students were invited as part of the NIOS’ initiative to felicitate the differently abled learners.
On their return to the state, the students recounted their experience with delight. The tour began with a visit to Taj Mahal, Agra on January 25. The students were part of the dazzling Republic Day celebration in Delhi on January 26. The students were also invited to NIOS headquarters at Noida.
