Drunkard barges into a house
On February 1 at around 1.30 am, one Mortoshi (35/M) of Assam Rifles HQ, Laitkor (EKH) under influence of liquor entered the residence of Brila Kharumnuid at Pynthorbah, Block-4, Shillong. Police arrested the accused and matter is under investigation.
3 arrested for abduction
On January 31, police arrested three persons: Jholsh G Momin (25), Walmen G Momin (25) and Sengman R Marak (25) from Moram Nunmati (WKH) for their involvement in the abduction of Darius Marngar (19) from Nongthymmai near Tynghor village under Aradonga OP (WKH) on January 13.
Money withdrawn from ATM
Mahendra Prasad Singh lodged a complaint that on January 30 at around 3.30 pm, he received an anonymous phone call in which the caller asked for details of his bank account. Later, he found that Rs. 13,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from his Union Bank Account.
Land trespassed
Ramesh Bawri lodged a complaint that on January 29 at around 4.30 pm, an employee of one W. Marbaniang trespassed into his land at Umbir (RB), constructed some sheds and erected a signboard which read as ‘Jaka Shong Kai’.
Theft
Irene Aiboksila Nongtraw lodged a complaint that on January 26 at around 9 pm, unknown miscreants stole electrical wires and water taps from her under construction house at Nongshiliang, Shillong.
Sihel Sariang lodged a complaint that on January 24, unknown miscreants stole one gun belonging to her uncle viz., (L) Swell Sariang from a Storage House at Thangrian village (WJH).
Cyber abuse
A woman lodged a complaint that on January 25 at around 5.20 pm, one Khrawbok Nongrum made inappropriate comments on her picture which was uploaded on Facebook.
Blazing charcoal burns man
On January 24, one Shri Bekhala Lyngdoh (60) of Lad Mawreng, Mawngap (EKH) fell on burning charcoal and was admitted at CH Shillong.
