SHILLONG: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sarbananda Sonowal, will attend a curtain raiser for the 12th South Asian Games 2016 and the launch of the official Games jingle at the State Convention Centre here on Tuesday.
Sonowal will be the guest of honour while Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will attend as the chief guest. Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and Co-Chairman of the 12th South Asian Games, Zenith Sangma, will also be present on the occasion.
The programme, which will commence at 5:30 PM, will also witness the launch of the ‘Special Cover’ and ‘My Stamp’ by India Post.
Later Zenith will host a dinner for Sonowal.
