Mukul to table Budget on March 14

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, who holds finance portfolio, will present the Budget on March 14 as per the decision of the Business Advisory Committee which met here on Thursday.
The 14-day-long Budget session will start from March 4.
The session will conclude on March 23.
While nine days were allotted to government business, five days are for the private members.
On the opening day of the Budget session on March 4, Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan will address the House for the irst time after he assumed office.
On March 7, there will be debate on Governor’s address and the Chief Minister will reply to the debate on March 9. After the presentation of the Budget on March 14, the discussion will be on March 16 followed by the reply of the Chief Minister on 18.
The Budget will be passed on March 23, on the last day of the session.
