Haystack set ablaze
On February 29 around 1 am, unknown miscreants set fire to haystack valued around Rs. 1, 50,000 belonging to Umesh Rai and Dabi Prasad Sharma at Pynthorbah, Shillong.
Man assaulted
On February 28 around 2 pm, residents of Barik Shillong apprehended and assaulted one Jerry Pun (32) and recovered one car tape, one cyber shot camera and one insulin syringe from his possession. He sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
Lady abused
A lady lodged a complaint that on February 27 at around 7 pm, one Pynshaitbor M Syiem indecently abused and assaulted her in her restaurant at Fire Brigade, Shillong.
Theft
On February 27, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Saphanumi Fanai (35) at Madanrting, Shillong and stole Rs. 2 lakhs.
On February 26 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08D-8515) belonging to Arun Chettri from his residence at Lower Chandmari, Tura (WGH).
On February 26 around 4 pm, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Albina Mawlong at Umseiniong, Mawngap (EKH) and stole two cell-phones valued around Rs. 7,000.
On the night of February 26, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-3291) belonging to Nikseng Sangma from Dobasipara, Tura (WGH).
Accidents
On February 27 at around 5 pm, one unknown vehicle knocked down Beggling Iawphniaw (18) at 11th Mile, Mylliem (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
On February 27 at around 8 pm, one local taxi (ML-10A-3482) driven by Roling Khardewsaw dashed against another local taxi (ML-05E-3811) driven by Suraj Thapa at Laban Last-stop, Shillong. As a result, one occupant of the local taxi (ML-05E-3811) sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
On February 27 around 11.30 pm, one coal laden dumper truck (ML-05J-1391) fell into a gorge at Ladsharai (RB). As a result, two occupants of the truck sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Abuse
One lady, of Lawsohtun Block-II, Shillong lodged a complaint that on February 26 around 8.30 pm, one D.L. Lyngkhoi indecently abused and threatened her with dire consequences over phone.
Man threatened
Siji Kharumnuid lodged a complaint that on January 22 one Dilius Synnah along with his accomplices (4/5) destroyed his farmland at Mawkhanu village (EKH) and also threatened him with dire consequences.
FIR on money repayment
One D.L. Lyngkhoi of Mawlai Mawiong, lodged a complaint that on January 14 one Sila Sohtun borrowed Rs. 90,000 from her, but failed to repay the same till date.
