St. Edmund’s College student picked up for stealing mobiles

SHILLONG: Police on Wednesday picked up a student from St. Edmund’s College, Shillong, on charges of stealing mobile phones of his classmates.
The Principal, St. Edmund’s College, had reported to the police that a number of students have been complaining about theft of their mobile phones from their bags.
Based on the complaint, police picked up a student Abhimanu Kr Rai, 20, of Pynthorumkhrah and during interrogation it was revealed that he had been stealing mobile phones of his co-students.
