SHILLONG: One person allegedly outraged the modesty of a woman in South Garo Hills after accusing her of practicing witchcraft.
Police said the incident happened on March 4 when one Millit K Marak assaulted and outraged the modesty of a woman alleging her of practicing witchcraft at Rengsigre village in South Garo Hills.She sustained injuries and was admitted at PHC Dalu. A complaint in this regard has been lodged by one Willyson M Marak.
In another case reported from East Jaintia Hills, one Ram Bahadur Tamang allegedly attempted to rape a six year old girl at Jaintia Cement market on March 4.Meanwhile, a woman was allegedly raped in a village in West Garo Hills.
According to the victim, she was raped on March 1 by one Mushai at Sidakandi village in the district.
