Nurul in hospital since two months

SHILLONG: The rape accused police officer Nurul Islam is yet to be released from Civil Hospital after he was admitted there two months back, leading to delay in examination of witnesses by the lower court.
A lawyer dealing with the case said that since Nurul is suffering from various ailments, he could not be produced before the court during the last hearings.
During the last two hearings, the witnesses, who came from Garo Hills were present, but the case  could not be taken up due to the ill health of the accused.
