Ram Navami festival
Hare Krishna Movement will organize the Sri Ram Navami festival for the first time in Shillong at Sri Narsingha Akhara, Jagantha Temple Qualapatty (Gharikhana), G. S road on April 15 from 3 pm onwards. Bhjanas, Kirtans and Prasadam distribution will also be carried out.
Condolence meet
The Shillong Bar Association held a condolence meeting on April 9 at 3 pm in the Shillong Bar premises to condole the demise of S.T.Lato who expired on April 8. The meeting recollected the valuable contributions of Lato as a lawyer while deeply mourneing his death. A one-minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect.
General Conference
The 14th Annual General Conference of All Garo Hills Chambugong Mahari Association (AGHCMA) was held on April 8 and 9 at the SMELC Building, Dakopgre in Tura. The conference was graced by Songsak MDC Brilliant R Sangma and former MDC S.B. Sangma.
