Workshop at St Edmund’s

SHILLONG: The Department of Environmental Science, St Edmund’s College, Shillong in collaboration with  Ramanujan Mission Trust, Chennai and  Indian Association of Health, Research and Welfare conducted a one day International Workshop on the theme “Healing our Planet – Eco-sensitivity and Remediation”. This workshop is part of the Grand Global Peace Meet- IV.Prof. SARPV Chaturvedi, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sri Ramanujan Mission Trust, Chennai, delivered a presidential address and introduced the theme.Through his speech, he encouraged everyone to be conscientious and to use resources in a sustainable way.  Sotheavy Srey, Director, the Allaince for Conflict Transformation (ACT), Cambodia, emphasised on the social issues, conflicts and environmental problems in Cambodia on the occasion while Cynthia Carvajal, founder, Ocean Lifetime, Texas, USA, gave a presentation on Reclamation of Corals in different parts of the world. Students, teachers as well as invitees actively participated in the interactive session.
