SHILLONG Police have arrested a BSF personnel — Dulal Konwar — for allegedly molesting a 11-year-girl at Nongrimmaw.
A city court on Thursday remanded the accused to 14-day police custody.
Informing this here on Thursday, East Khasi Hills district police chief M Kharkrang said, “We received a complaint that a minor girl was molested at her residence in Nongrimmaw, allegedly by BSF constable Dulal Konwar on Wednesday night.” He was arrested immediately.
The incident happened on Wednesday.
However, BSF PRO claimed that the incident happened last month when the accused, who was in inebriated condition, has brawl with some local boys had a brawl.
In the process, he fell on some ladies and later he was taken to police. Subsequently he was arrested, the BSF official said.
