Shillong: The BCCI has decided to resume coaching camp for selected players from all NADP states in the Under-16 and Under-19 category to be held at Dimapur and Shillong respectively.
The trials at Shillong will be from May 7 to 9, headed by former India international player, Venkatesh Prasad, who is also the current Chairman of Junior Selection Committee, of BCCI besides two other members of the same committee which includes Gyanendra Pandey and Aman Kumar.
Further, Honorary Jt. Secretary BCCI Amitabh Choudhary will also be at Shillong from May 7 to 9, to oversee the camp and other development related issues that are yet to be taken up in Meghalaya and other NADP States.
In the trials 5 players from each of the 5 NADP states will be short listed by the junior selection committee of BCCI from a list of 12 players in the Under-19 and Under-16 age category. The final camp with 5 players selected from each category from all 5 NADP states will be held from May 10 to May 31 at MCA Cricket Ground, Polo in the Under-19 age category. A team of 6 coaches including 2 physios and 2 trainers each; all from National Cricket Academy, will conduct the 21 days coaching and conditioning camp.
