SHILLONG: A show cause was issued to Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress President Richard Marak by the Returning Officer Pravin Bakshi for circulating a video clip in Facebook showing Marak pressing the button in EVM for the Congress candidate Dikkanchi Shira during the by-poll on Monday.
The Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor said on Tuesday that the Returning Officer took cognize of the offence under model code of conduct and issued notice to the concerned individual.
