New Delhi: Startled at reports of widespread dissidence and leaking of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma’s letter apprehending collapse of the three year old Congress led MUA II coalition government in Meghalaya allegedly caused by the BJP, the AICC is likely to send an observer for urgent intervention in the matter, party sources said on Thursday.
The AICC is agog with rumors of an imminent reshuffle which is already long overdue. If the reshuffle takes effect soon, the new party general secretary in charge of    Meghalaya will have his first visit to the troubled state otherwise one observer would visit the hill state to sort out the ‘serious’ differences.
Name of Mukul Wasnik, who was once in charge of Meghalaya, is doing the rounds. He is also part of the AICC revamping team headed by former Union Minister A.K. Antony. Rama Chandra Khuntia, trade union leader and presently secretary in the AICC, is also in that team.
Khuntia, it may be recalled, had visited Meghalaya when the D.D. Lapang- J.D. Rymbai controversy was at its peak.
