Misappropriation
L. Kynjing, BDO of Mawryngkneng C&RD, lodged a complaint that Rs. 50,000 was sanctioned to Lister Mawthoh, president of Kyntoit Kseh Club, Diengpasoh in East Khasi Hills for construction of a basketball court in the village. However, the accused failed to construct the same and also did not comply with the show cause notice issued by the BDO.
Non return of vehicle
One Momi Langstang lodged a complaint that on April 10, 2016, his business partner Shiva Lama borrowed his Maruti Gypsy (ML11 2227) and has failed to return the vehicle till date.
Ambulance mishap
On July 8 around 10 AM, an ambulance (ML05 E 2495) dashed against a roadside hillock at Laitjem village in East Khasi Hills. As a result, one occupant Kitbok Nongbri sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong civil hospital.
Theft
On July 7 around 3.30 PM, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to A. Rapphi Jyrwa from her bag at Motphran, Shillong.
On July 7, unknown miscreants stole one Scooty (ML05 M 7361) belonging to Rahul Sharma, parked at Jhalupara, Shillong.
On July 5, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to one Jezmon Dkhar at Motphran, Shillong.
On July 5, unknown miscreants stole 24 batteries valued around Rs. 1,24,695 from the mobile towers of Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone and Idea at Nongbah Mulang village under Jowai PS in West Jaintia Hills.
Assault
On July 7 around 6.30 PM, one Morning K Wanniang assaulted Sril Pdahkasiej, Mali Pdahkasiej and Peaceful Pdahkasieh at Lumdiengan in East Khasi Hills. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were removed to Shillong civil hospital.
