SHILLONG: The Opposition NPP has asked the state government to take people into confidence while deciding on the matter related to uranium mining.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the NPP national president Conrad Sangma said that stand of the party is clear — the concerned authorities should take the people into confidence before implementing the project.
Concerns have been raised following the July 2 tender notice of the UCIL inviting expression of  interest  aimed at mining uranium in West Khasi Hills.
