Legal notice sent to former legislator
SHILLONG: Former Mendipathar MLA Frankenstein W Momin has asserted that he is ready to face Marthon J. Sangma in the court after the latter threatened to drag Momin to the court.
“Marthon J. Sangma also knows that the court is for all to seek justice. But, what about his false allegation against me that I stole his seal and forged his signature, if it is not a defamation on me in the very first place,” Momin said.
After being accused of forgery by Mendipathar legislator Marthon Sangma, Momin lashed back saying he is innocent and is ready for the court trial.
He said that there is a deep-rooted conspiracy against him by the duo-Marthon and his wife.
According to Momin, Marthon Sangma may think that the implementation of the schemes during the last three years is foolproof but there is already grumble and murmuring among the public that some of his schemes are being implemented by him beyond the borders of Meghalaya.
“Prior to his joining politics, Marthon J. Sangma was the BDO of Songsak Development Block. But, he left this lucrative job abruptly to take political refuge by joining NCP at that time. Whether, he had left on his own, or because of some compulsions would be a matter of conjecture,” Momin pointed out.
However, in a new development, the lawyer of Sangma has issued a legal notice to Momin on Thursday demanding unconditional apology within three days for the defamatory allegations made against Sangma failing which appropriate legal action both civil and criminal will be taken against Momin. .
Momin had alleged that Sangma could not replace the names of the beneficiaries halfway with his own people.
