Rain alert in WGH

SHILLONG: Following warning from the Indian Metrological Department about heavy rain in Meghalaya, the West Garo Hills District Administration has directed all the line departments to be on alert.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi informed that all the BDOs, police, medical, forest, civil defence officials have been asked to monitor the situation besides taking necessary precautionary measures. According to Bakshi, the respective departments have been asked to activate their quick response teams   besides submitting situation reports every three hours to the district administration.
