JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills police has arrested one Wailutki Suchiang of Nongkynrih village on charges of cheating people by promising jobs in the Police department.
Jowai police along with member of the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) West Jaintia Hills nabbed the accused from near Thomas Jones Synod College while he was waiting for his victim who was ready to pay him one lakh rupees in return for a job as police constable.
Sources claimed that he had demanded Rs 10 lakh from another victim for the post of SP.
