JOWAI: The driver of a recovery van died when a Guwahati-bound 12-wheeler rammed into it on Jowai bypass in West Jaintia Hills on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Pawan Basumatri of 8th Mile. The recovery car was pulling up another truck that met with an accident on Monday. The 12-wheeler was coming from Lumshnong and lost control at a sharp turning on the bypass opposite GHM Hotel. It hit the recovery van killing the driver instantly.
