Lynching
On November 13 around 9 pm, residents of Chibonga village in North Garo Hills apprehended and lynched one Junal Momin (22), while he and his accomplices were attempting to commit robbery at the village. Later, his accomplices, Laban T Sangma (24) and Changtial P Momin (18) were also apprehended and handed over to Police. In this connection, police arrested Praiting D Sangma (20), while one 16-year-old juvenile surrendered before police.
Threat
A police complaint has been lodged against the BSF Meghalaya frontier DIG and PRO S.K Singh for abusing and threatening a person. Banka Bihari Shaw lodged a complaint that on November 8 around 1 pm, one S.K Singh abused and threatened the complainant in the official chamber of P.K Dubey, Chairman, BSF, Secondary School, Umpling, Shillong. Attempts were made to contact SK Singh but he could not be reached.
