Ri Bhoi C&RD block gets footpath, bridge

NONGPOH: Chief advisor to the government D.D Lapang on Friday inaugurated the 2,011m footpath, a retaining wall and a footbridge at Umden Nongtluh village in Umling C&RD block.
The project, which was sanctioned under the MGNREGA scheme, was executed at a cost of Rs. 26.89 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, Lapang, who is also the local MLA, lauded the village authority for proper implementation of various development schemes.
During an interaction with villagers, the Minister was apprised of the various requirements like a community hall, the youth club building and a common facility centre for women.
