Assault cases in NEHU

SHILLONG: A string of cases have been reported in the North Eastern Hill University campus located in Mawlai.On November 17 around 11 pm, one Dawanki T Bamon of NEHU Hostel assaulted Rahul Marak, Security Guard at No. 20 at NEHU hostel. A day earlier, on November 16, around 2 am, one Tibra Jyoti Chutiya assaulted Nipon Taye with iron rod at No. 21.On November 15, one Nipon Taye and his accomplices assaulted Tibra Jyoti at the campus. The next day, the victim found that his room was ransacked and his laptop was missing.
