SHILLONG: State Power Minister Abu Taher Mondal has been selected for the prestigious ‘Bharat Excellence Award’ and the ‘North Eastern Golden Personalities Award’ along with the Gold Medal for the year 2011.
The award was recommended by the Friendship Forum of India and the award will be presented at a function in New Delhi on November 27, to be attended by Union ministers, state ministers, intellectuals and industrialists.
Mondal will be awarded in recognition of his outstanding performances and achievements in his chosen field of work, sources informed.
The award is presented to achievers who have done something special for the country and who have attained greater excellence in their field of work in enhancing the image of the country.
