Music fest postponed
The Director of Arts and Culture, Meghalaya has informed that the Korean Music Festival, scheduled to be held on December 7 has been postponed till further notice due to the observation of three-day state mourning.
Dry day
The District Magistrate, West Khasi Hills has declared December 12, 13 and 16 as dry days in view of the bye-election to the KHADC. All liquor shops, bars etc., shall remain closed on these dates.
Cashless Transaction
The DC’s Office, Ri Bhoi in collaboration with the banks in the district will conduct a seminar on digital modes of transaction and cashless transaction on December 8 in the District Library Auditorium, Nongpoh.
Awareness programme
The Community Development through Polytechnic (CDTP) scheme under MHRD will conduct an awareness programme-cum-sale of work on December 14 from 11 am onwards at Shillong Polytechnic Auditorium, Mawlai, Kynton Massar.
Coaching camp
Office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills, will conduct the physical fitness cum athletics coaching camp for boys and girls from December 12 to February 25 at J.N. Sports Complex, Polo from Monday to Saturday. Interested schools may collect the form from the office and the last date for submission of entry form is December 9.
