Science Mela concludes in St. Edmund’s College

SHILLONG: Ed Scientia – 2016, a Science Mela held in St. Edmund’s College concluded on December 7.The mela was inaugurated by Prof. Henry Lamin, Pro Vice Chancellor, North-Eastern Hill University.
Lamin congratulated the College for being the only institute in the Eastern region to be recognised as a Star College by the Department of Biotechnology Government of India and its Biotech Hub as a model Biotech Hub in the region. He appreciated the efforts of the students in popularising science through their models and charts.
Different activities such as art competition, essay competition, extempore speech, quiz, charts and models were organised during the Science Mela.
A number of students and staff also benefitted from the free medical camp conducted on the occasion.  A yoga demonstration was also held under the guidance of Dr. Vijay Kumar from NEIAH.
