TURA: The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers’ Association (MUPSTA) has served January 15 deadline to the State Government to fulfil their demand for service provincialisation.
Earlier, the teachers had demanded the enhancement of their salaries before Christmas as per approved by the MHRD that also went unheeded by the government. This time, the teachers have threatened to go on an indefinite cease work if the government fails to fulfil their demand within the deadline.
“We are giving the government till January 15 to fulfil our demands. If there is no action from the government by then, we will go on a cease work until all our demands are fulfilled,” they warned.
