General meet
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association will hold its 20th General Body Meeting on January 13 at the conference hall of the A.H & Veterinary Department, Lumdiengjri, Garikhana at 1:00 pm. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Meghalaya Minister I/c PWD (Buildings), I&PR and Labour Department etc will grace the occasion as chief guest.
Army Day celebration
On the occasion of 69th Army Day, a celebration is being organised by the headquarters 101 area on January 14 at Garrison Ground, Shillong Cantonment. The event will include equipment display, military band display, cultural events, demonstration of physical ability and information about recruitment in the Indian Army and refreshment stalls. The event will be organised from 10:30 am to 2 pm.  Citizens of Shillong and school children are cordially invited to attend the event.
Office bearer
The elections of the Executive Committee members of the Marwari Sammelan, Shillong Branch was successfully concluded through secret ballot on January 12 and the following persons were declared elected by the Election Officer: Mahabir Prasad Singhania as president, Pawan Bajoria, Ajay Agarwal, Gaurishankar Runthala  as vice president, secretary Kunj Bihari Ajmera and Murari Lal Chokhani as treasurer.
