NONGSTOIN: Ten trucks were allegedly transporting coal with fake coal challans in West Khasi Hills district’s Riangdo.
K. Sumer, Inspector (DMR) in Mawshynrut, lodged a complaint that on January 13, more than 27 coal-laden trucks passed through the check gate at Zero point in Mawshynrut with fake coal challans issued in the name of different dealers.
However, the check gate authorities could not detect as the fake challans had the same hologram like the genuine ones. It was detected by the checker of the DMR deployed in DMR check gate in Mawshynrut.
