Shillong: The regional office of Directorate of Field Publicity is observing a cleanliness fortnight, Swachhta Pakhwada 2017 in its office and field units. The office has organised cleanliness activities in various places of Shillong.
Dr Engam Pame, Director of DFP in Shillong said that it aims to imbibe a sense of cleanliness in every individual and to take the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan beyond mere symbolism. Deputy Director, Dr A M Farooqi said that Meghalaya is a clean state and the residents have a sense of maintaining cleanliness which can be emulated in other states also.
