NONGPOH: The PWD Umsning Division has decided to go for repair of the dilapidated road from Sumer to Byrwa village in Ri Bhoi District.
The development comes following a meeting on Thursday between the PWD Executive Engineer, Umsning Division and a delegation of Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CoRP), Byrwa Circle led by their president A. Lornging.
“We are quite delighted at the assurance given by the Executive Engineer and we are now waiting for the day when the road is repaired for the convenience of the general public”, Lornging said even as he expressed confidence that the repair work will start at the earliest.
