Mentally unstable attacks girl

SHILLONG: On March 17 around 3 pm, one Bakyrmen Nongkynrih (26) caught hold of a fourteen-year-old girl and gagged her mouth at Wahseiniong, Langkyrdem, NH-40 .  However, the villagers managed to rescue the girl. The attacker is said to be mentally unstable and had earlier undergone treatment in a rehabilitation centre.

Leadership training for St Anthony’s NSS members
SHILLONG: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of St Anthony’s College Extensio, Byndihati campus, organised a leadership training at Khliehriat Higher Secondary School in East Jaintia Hills on Saturday.
The programme, titled ‘The Leader in You’, was aimed at inculcating leadership qualities in NSS members and deliberated on topics like leadership qualities, team building and team work. There was a brainstorming session and participants were shown motivational videos.
The training session was organised under the leadership of Seven Dar Dkhar, Assistant Professor in the Commerce Department.
