TB sensitisation programme held at NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG: A sensitisation programme on the “New Technical and Operational Guidelines for Tuberculosis Control in India-2016” was organised by the State Task Force on RNTCP, NEIGRIHMS in collaboration with State Tuberculosis Office and District TB Office Shillong at NEIGRIHMS on Tuesday. The programme was presided by Dr. Star Pala, Associate Professor of Community Medicine& Member of State Task Force (STF).
Prof. AC Phukan, Chairman STF, NEIGRIHMS highlighted the TB update in the country. The technical and operational guidelines was delivered by Dr. G. Borgohain, WHO Consultant followed by Dr. KG Lynrah, Nodal Officer, RNTCP regarding implementation of TB programme at NEIGRIHMS.   Dr. M. Hooroo, State Tuberculosis Officer, spoke about the participation of all stakeholders as the theme of World TB Day (March 24) will be, “Unite to End TB”.
