SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Peoples’ United Front (MPUF) has expressed dismay over the 20-day notice served by the State government to the shopkeepers to get themselves registered as per the provision of the Meghalaya Shop & Establishment Act, 2004.
The MPUF wanted to know if the shopkeepers should register their names with the KHADC or the Labour Department and has urged the State government to update them on the concerned issue.
