NONGSTOIN: The Maweit unit of the KSU has raised concern over heavy vehicles plying on a dilapidated bridge near Risiang in West Khasi Hills.
The unit’s president, Ioanis Diengngan, said the bridge at Pathar Mawlok near Risiang cannot take the weight of coal trucks which pass through it everyday.
“The PWD should immediately repair or construct the concrete bridge since more than 40 to 50 trucks ply on the bridge everyday,” Diengngan said.
