Kim awarded Entrepreneur of the Year

London: Reality star Kim Kardashian has been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. The 30-year-old socialite, who recently got engaged to basketball player boyfriend Kris Humphries, was joined by an array of stars at the event at London’s Berkley Square Gardens.

Victoria Beckham who is currently expecting her fourth child with husband David Beckham was awarded Accessory Designer of the Year, while chart-topping singer Adele was named the UK Solo Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker Jessie J took home the coveted Woman of Tomorrow accolade, while ‘Transformers’ actress Rosie Huntington Whiteley was handed the Editor’s Special Award. (PTI)

British designer Sarah Burton who created the lace wedding dress Princess Catherine wore to her April 29 nuptials with Prince William, as well as her sister Pippa Middleton’s silhouette-enhancing ivory bridesmaid dress, was named Designer of the Year. The awards recognise the achievements of women, but ‘Country Strong’ actor Garrett Hedlund was given a prize, the coveted Man of the Year honour. Hosted by British TV actor James Corden, the event also saw ‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart and ‘Tamara Drewe’ star Gemma Arterton take home the Film Actress of the Year prize. (PTI)
