Traffic constable hit by cab
SHILLONG: A traffic constable in the city was knocked down by a local taxi on Monday.
The local taxi (ML-05N-5437) driven by George Gillbert Lartang knocked down S.I F Ryngksai of Shillong Sadar Traffic Branch at Raj Bhavan Point. Victim sustained injuries and the matter is under enquiry.
FIR against injection to child
SHILLONG: A child was allegedly administered injection by an unidentified person in South Garo Hills.
A police complaint lodged at Sibbari Outpost, said that one five-year-old child was allegedly administered injection by unidentified person on Monday at Namchapara near Sibbari. The matter is under investigation.
Coal laden truck detained
SHILLONG: Police last week detected one coal laden vehicle (ML-04B-5931), suspected of carrying coal beyond permissible limit, in violation of NGT order.
