London: Veteran singer Andy Williams has been diagnosed with bladder cancer but insists he is determined to win his battle with the disease.

The 83-year-old crooner cancelled several performances recently after falling sick with an undisclosed medical condition. He has now confirmed he is undergoing treatment for bladder cancer, but is staying positive about his health crisis, reported The Telegraph.

“I do have cancer of the bladder. But that is no longer a death sentence. People with cancer are kicking it, and they’re winning. And I’m going to be one of them,” Williams said to the crowd during his show at the Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri. The star also thanked his fans for supporting him in his time of need, and vowed to return in 2012 to celebrate his 75th year in the entertainment industry. (PTI)
